Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi: The story revolves around two muslim brothers living in Mumbai. The two brothers are, Vinay (Vinay Pathak) who is twenty one and Prateek (Vinay Pathak) who is 17. Prateek is living away from his family in Delhi and Vinay is studying in a college in Mumbai. Their fathers are the most respected and experienced lawyers in the city. This story starts in the night when Prateek meets a girl named Meera (Anushka Sharma) in a college and they fall in love. The girl is a Christian and Prateek too is in love with her. However, Meera’s father brings her home and reveals to his family about the two brothers. Meera’s brother Sahil gets angry and says that they are nothing to him and he is married. He then beats up Prateek and forces him to marry his friend’s daughter by which he means to say that the girl he is in love with is his sister. Prateek is shocked to hear this and he tells his father and the entire family. They call Meera’s father and explain to him that they are ready to marry the girl, Meera and the dowry is over one crores. Meera’s father gives his blessings and says that he cannot give Meera away and he has a different plan. The story shifts to one month later and Prateek and Vinay are in the college.
